Grizzly, my "Reactive" lab mix. If you saw Grizzly out on the neighborhood paths prior to last year, you probably witnessed him dragging me along by his leash as he tried chasing after your dog, or a rabbit or a squirrel. Well I'm happy to report that Grizzly is much easier to walk now and I'm no longer having to call the chiropractor to realign my back. While he's still not perfect, I credit Melissa my pawsome pet walker for the great strides Grizzly has made. Melissa has taught Grizzly that she is in control of the walks, not him. And she's helped me implement strategies and given me invaluable tips to help Grizzly with his reactive behavior and improve our daily walks. Melissa started walking my 2 big dogs about a month ago that I have a hard time walking cause they have never been good on a leash. After the first few walks, I was able to take them by myself on days that she wasn't coming to do their walk. She is absolutely amazing and my dogs get so happy to see her every time she comes over. After each walk, I get a text message with how they did if they went potty or not, and several photos of their stroll. I highly recommend Melissa for anyone looking for an amazing Dog walker.

We have two fur babies, and both are very different. One is loving and hyper, but the other is an anxious little boy. Melissa came in and spent time learning about their different personalities, how to interact with them individually, and make them both feel at ease. My anxiety was high knowing that one requires a bit of extra time to adjust, and Melissa calmed my nerves by discussing how to manage them. You can feel and see the love she has for your pets. Melissa with Melissa's Pawsome Pet Care is an exceptional pet sitter! I hired her last minute for a long engagement, and she stepped in with such kindness, professionalism, and care that I immediately felt at ease. I'm very particular about how my two kitties are cared for since they have a health condition called Pica that requires extra attention. Melissa not only followed my (very lengthy & detailed!) instructions to the letter, but did so with enthusiasm and love. She sent me daily updates with photos, videos, and wonderful little narrations of her visits, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. My cats adored her—she played with them, brushed them, sang to them, and gave them so much affection that I came home to find them more social and content than ever. Melissa truly goes above and beyond. She is thoughtful, reliable, and clearly loves animals deeply. Her services are worth every penny, and I'll be hiring her anytime I need care for my kitties. I met Melissa as a referral from my primary pet sitter, who wasn't available, and not only did Adam, my precious black cat, hit it off with her, but we became friends. She's very considerate of my needs with Adam, as he has a health issue to work around, and when to see him during the day. She sends me updates with many pictures and follows up with the nervous mom that I am with my 7-year-old cat. I would recommend Melissa for your pet-sitting needs. She's wonderful.
I used Melissa for my entire tiny zoo while we traveled for a week. She was there 3 times a day, walked the dogs, and gave them abundant love. Melissa is AMAZING. I was so nervous to leave my dogs home alone for a few days but she came over and walked them and when it was a crazy rain storm she just came and hung out with them. She can do it all and my dogs are obsessed with her. She sends so many updates, pictures and videos. I am a crazy dog person so that made me feel so much better. She didn't even make me feel crazy about my weird sanitation rules. I clean my dogs after every walk and she didn't bat an eye. She took the best notes and I barely had to leave her instructions. She is very professional and honestly has this connection to animals that makes you feel so comfortable. 12/10 cannot recommend enough!
Melissa is amazing! She is so dependable and truly loves animals. One of my three cats who is scared of people has no problem with Melissa. She is quite the cat whisperer! Melissa gives great text updates and sends plenty of photos during her visit so I never worry when she's taking care of my cats. I highly recommend Melissa!
I was looking for a patient, trustworthy, reliable, true dog lover to walk our Great Pyrenees rescue girl, Miss Bailey Grace, while we were out of town. Melissa came to our house prior to the trip to meet me and our dog. I liked her and trusted her right away and Bailey was very excited to meet a new friend! It was immediately obvious that Melissa is an animal lover who puts the pet's needs first. For example, some dog walkers I was considering would not come for a 6:00am walk because it was too early for them. Or they charge extra-an early morning surcharge. Not Melissa - she understands a very hairy Great Pyrenees needs an early morning walk during the summertime before it gets too hot outside for her. Melissa was punctual for every walk and was friendly and engaging with our elderly friends who were pet-sitting/house-sitting while we are away. She also put our empty Eldorado Springs 5-gallon glass bottles out on delivery day and made sure our beautiful American flag was hanging properly on it's metal garden frame. Melissa is a professional who is dedicated to her client's furry family members. She is fully insured and certified in both pet CPR and pet First Aid. I love her philosophy printed on her business card, "Every animal should always be treated with the love and respect they deserve." I cannot recommend Melissa Estrella highly enough and am looking forward to hiring her again. She is the BEST!
